At the end or beginning of the year, it is natural to feel an inner tug about what you had hoped to happen… but have yet to accomplish.
Didn’t earn that million dollars you were hoping for?
Me either! But, seriously have you ever asked yourself…
If I could earn one million dollars a year doing what I love…what would I be doing?
It’s an inquiry worthy of your attention and exploration.
I’ll share mine below, AND reveal a few ways we (me included) can navigate the slippery slope to avoid missing one of the best possibilities coming into your life.
Unfortunately, most don’t even go down that path of exploring what we really want to manifest, as all too often we look at what we haven’t accomplished previously.
That focus can temporarily start the snowball rolling down the hill effect.
You get the picture of how one small snowball made and pushed, even gently, from the top of the hill picks up speed quickly, getting bigger and bigger, and plowing down everything in its path.
Once it’s launched, and gains a certain level of mass and momentum, it’s virtually unstoppable.
So how do you stop it before it takes you with it on the destructive path of its own?
John Wooden said it so succinctly: Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.
Here are my suggestions:
You’ll notice the first few tips help you steer your focus and attention, then clearing the way for the other suggestions to help you co-create what you may be surprised to discover you really desire.
1. Get out of the path of the snowball
Trust nature and the law of physics will eventually melt, dissipate or reach its own state of equilibrium (level ground).
2. Change your focus to review what you have accomplished
List out everything positive you learned about yourself, life, or goals set this past year.
Don’t be shy, this is the time to beat your drum proudly.
If you made a manifestation list or vision board at the beginning of the previous year… take it out now and revel in the joy of what you saw come to life.
3. Unleash the potential within
Ask yourself that wide-open question,
What else do I want to be, do or have in my life that I have avoided going after or thought impossible?
Talk to a friend, family member, healer, mentor or coach who can help you see the blocks, while revealing your hidden desires.
Remind yourself: The essence of my every desire can be fulfilled.
4. Create a new vision
Find the method that suits your personality and also feels good while you are doing it.
The important thing is to be intentional.
Whether you are a thinker, meditator or visionary… spend 5-20 minutes envisioning what you want to bring into and contribute in your life.
If you’d like to have a hand-ons experience and are a creative feeler… take out some magazines, flip through the ads and articles and see what sparks your flow and puts a smile on your face. Go with your first instinct…
Use words or images that create a positive and joyful feeling in you knowing you already have these in your life by the end of the New Year.
Put those items on a piece of cardboard, paper, or whatever you have available.
Set your intentions noticing how you feel when you do.
Now, put that board or paper away out of sight until next year.
5. Get on with your daily life and aligned practices
You’ve heard me share these many times in the past if you need to refer to them… check out my top tip sheet for aligning your daily life.
When I Answered the question…
Oh yeah, when I asked myself that question… I opened the door to new possibilities and teaching opportunities that have already begun to unfold the 3rd day of this New Year, 2018.
If I could earn a million dollars a year doing what I love,
I would be inspiring others (leading by example)
- to stand for themselves
- to know themselves better
- to know their value
- to heal through the challenges
- to grow happily and more fulfilled in their contributions
I would achieve that through my love of expressive writing and teaching energy healing to as many people who are ready for this wonderful adventure and transformation.
So how about you… what would you do? Share with me below!
And if your interest is peaked by this process, I’d love to speak with you privately and help you explore what’s possible for you this year and beyond.
